As an avid observer, Annie is continually learning how lines, patterns, and colors tell stories of the world around us. They influence how people feel, how they work, and how they connect in their environments. They inspire and teach her. Annie believes that the essence of design is service. It should lift others by serving the mind, body, and soul. By combining elegant simplicity with thoughtful design, she seeks to find creative solutions that make an impact in the lives of individuals and in the community. |
Good design is obvious.
Great design is transparent"

THE WILD GOAT
The Wild Goat granola shop is to be located in downtown Logan, Utah. To complement the “granola” culture, this little shop‘s goal is to create a place to share their house-made granola in a reimagined cafe environment. The owners themselves grew up in the Cache Valley and have been a part of the outdoor sports scene, from skiing and snowmobiling in the winter to rock climbing and hiking in the summer. Their goal is to encompass that culture in a niche granola shop that reflects quality and authenticity.
THE LAKE HOUSE
Home is a place of safety and comfort. A place for family and friends to gather. For families, it is a place where one is free to explore, ask questions and learn from hands-on experiences. When one remembers their home it comes back to them through all of their senses. How they feel, what they saw, what they hear, and the way the food tastes is all fundamental in creating the complete experience. For the Hughes “home” is watching the seasons change around Lake Maren and embracing the experiences each one has to offer. The smell of homemade cooking and the feel of soft soil gives life to the newly planted herbs in the greenhouse. It’s about the books, the music, and the long summer nights spent out on the porch. It’s about growing up with the beauties of the earth all around you.
