KAYLEE MOESFROM: South Jordan, Utah
DESIRED CAREER FOCUS: Residential Design ASSOCIATIONS: ASID, IIDA, USU USGBC Kaylee Moes is a 2023 graduate of the Interior Architecture & Design program at Utah State University. A love for art, interior design, and architecture has led Kaylee to become a passionate individual with high hopes for what is to come in the future. She loves exploring new and fresh designs, while also pulling inspiration from the past. Zaha Hadid and Kelly Wearstler are two individuals who have inspired Kaylee to push the boundaries and step outside of her comfort zones. Goals for the future include continuing to learn and grow interior architecture and design skills at a residential interior design firm in the Salt Lake City area.

LANGLEY RESIDENCE
The Langley Residence is a large 11,380 sqft. home located in Holladay, Utah. Created for a family of five, this home allows space for individuals to spread out while also feeling together as one. The exterior pulls architectural elements of both modern and traditional styles. Large windows allow for lots of natural light to enter the home and creates an interesting architectural feature on the home.
The Langley family is passionate about entertaining, which is reflected in the open floor plan concept and the space planning. This home speaks to the Langley family personality while also reflecting a calm, inviting atmosphere.
The upper level showcases a theater room, a game room, the children’s bedrooms, and a guest room. This space was designed around functionality and individual's movement throughout the home.
The dining room reflects the client’s love for hosting. This space is located right off the kitchen, equipped with a large table that spans the space of the room and enough seating for 14 individuals. The large artworks and blue chairs add a pop of color and give personality to the home.
The kitchen has been designed for the family’s individual needs. Booth seating has been placed in the center of the kitchen to allow for additional seating when hosting their individual family. Undercabinet drawers have been placed throughout the kitchen to allow for hidden storage.

DE LA PALMA RESORT
De La Palma Resort is a luxury resort hotel located in Scottsdale, Arizona. This high-end resort is fitted with seven private suites, one large presidential suite, a fitness center, restaurant dining, and a luxury outdoor pool. Additionally, each space has its own independent outdoor seating area, equipped with lounge chairs and a fire pit.
The overall design was inspired by the surrounding Arizona mountains along with the desert environment. The exterior design creates a calming and relaxing environment through the use of natural tones and clean lines. Guests can enjoy the warm weather and beautiful views when sitting outside around the fire pits. The courtyard space is placed directly next to the pool area.
The view in the king suites features large windows which allow natural sunlight in and allow guests to view outside the De La Palma Resort.
The resort has a variety of room variations to cater to the guests’ individual needs including double and single rooms.

THE BAY
The Bay is a small, three-bedroom vacation home, located in Nantucket, Massachusetts. This residence was inspired by the East Coast lifestyle, as well as the serene views of the Atlantic Ocean. The goal of The Bay was to create a place where all feel welcome, and for individuals to find the rest and relaxation they came looking for.
Large windows have been placed throughout to allow guests to enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean and also allows for an abundance of natural light to enter the space.
The view of the dining room feature windows that are placed on all walls to allow for an abundance of natural light to shine through. Guests can also enjoy oceanside views. Light colors and wood tones are seen throughout the home.
This light and airy feeling is contrasted with a few moody aspects that can be seen in specific spaces throughout the home. One example of this can be seen in the piano room as well as in the exterior of the house.
